It has been 20 years since our Yaya – the Catalan word for grandmother – started cooking her famous paellas in this piece of paradise, in the middle of the nature reserve of Ses Salines, with wonderful views of the island of Formentera, the beach of Es Cavallet and the Mediterranean Sea. We have attracted people from all over the world, but especially the locals.
With local food always of high quality, fresh and whenever possible grown on the island, our menu aims to please. We serve authentic Spanish and Mediterranean influenced cuisine including seafood, meat cuts and a good selection for vegetarians. For the more modern palate, dishes such as Thai style chicken or Californian sushi. Our specialities are Paella, Gallo de San Pedro served with Ibicencan style potatoes and Boquerones Mami, all made with love from our original family recipes.

Chiringay is the legendary gay beach bar at the far end of Es Cavallet. Simple fish dishes and rice dishes are very good here. There’s not much in this small rocky cove that isn’t a familiar world-class fish restaurant, visited by actors, models and even the King of Spain. Es Torrent’s menu will not disappoint seafood lovers. Les espardenyes, sautéed squid, clams in seafood style and grilled mussels are four of the delicacies that come out of the kitchen. The main courses include bullit de peix with arroz a banda, fish and seafood fideuà, Ibizan crayfish stew and baked fish.
